Aird Uig SEAcroft, is a small, fully licensed bed and breakfast overlooking the Atlantic on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. Calm rooms, thoughtful food and unhurried evenings are at the heart of what we offer. Guests stay for the setting, the views, and the sense of being well looked after at the end of the day. There are two spacious ensuite rooms with sea views, along with a double or twin room with a private bathroom for the exclusive use of that room. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. Evening meals are served in our small dining room and must be booked in advance. Open to both residents and non-residents, with seasonal cooking rooted in local produce. The Gatliff Hebridean Hostels Trust operates a hostel a at Rhenigidale, allowing visitors to share in the life and culture of the local community. The Trust supports three hostels in total, each in an idyllic position: Berneray on North Uist, Howmore on South Uist and Rhenigidale on North Harris. Each is looked after by a warden and has electricity, piped water and WCs. Beds, duvets, cooking equipment, stoves and cutlery are provided. Personal sheet sleeping bags are necessary and may be rented, if required, at £3 per visit. These 'distinctive hostels of destination' are normally open all year. Bednight fees: £25 for adults; £12.50 for under 18s. Reservations are not possible, but beds are usually available. Camping with use of the hostels' cooking and communal facilities is available at Howmore and Rhenigidale hostels at a cost of £15 per adult per night (£7.50 for under 18s). Please note that Berneray and Rhenigidale hostels accept only cash and cheques. Howmore is equipped to take credit and debit card payments.

Otter Bunkhouse and Bothy, Carishader, Uig, Isle of Lewis, HS2 9ER. On the shores of West Loch Roag, in the village of Carishader, Otter Bunkhouse provides a comfortable and cosy retreat for walkers, cyclists surfers, kayakers and anyone wishing to explore the stunning scenery and wildlife of the Isle of Lewis. Callanish standing stones and Dun Carloway Broch are close by and the famous Lewis Chessmen, 12th century Viking chess pieces, were found at nearby Ardroil Beach. The bunkhouse  offers a cosy hideaway with modern facilities. There is one bedroom with 8 beds, a toilet and shower room, and a separate lounge area with kitchenette facilities. There is an outside decking area with stunning views over West Loch Roag, private direct access to the loch for kayakers and a separate drying shed for use by kayakers, cyclists, etc. Otter Bunkhouse comfortably sleeps up to eight people, sharing one bedroom with bunkbeds, making it ideal for families or groups of friends. Bedding is included in the price, and towels can be provided on request. Ample car parking space is available on site. The price is £220 per night (£140 per night November to February) with a minimum two night booking. Otter Bothy is a small, cosy cabin for one or two people. It has basic cooking facilities, a large shower room and a double bed. With direct access to West Loch Roag, Otter Bothy ideal for kayakers. Perched on a hillside above a small Hebridean cove where the Atlantic waves roll in, SEApods have the best cliff view on the island! SEApods provide you with all you could want from a B&B with that extra bit of privacy and self-sufficiency. Air & Breeze are two fully self-contained pods with en-suite shower rooms, kitchen facilities, a zip & link king size bed which can be set as a double or a twin, a single trundle bed with cosy mattress, WiFi and Internet TV. Outside each pod is a sheltered entrance with seating, a deck and a parking space. The larger Lewis Longpod will sleep up to 6 guests in comfort. It is set back from the cliffs, sits within its own private garden and has a stone SEAcuddle shelter with firepit. It also has a parking space. Inside this spacious pod there is a well equipped kitchen, a large sofa, which can also convert to a bed, a further king size bed, a separate bunk room and an ensuite shower room.
