Winkie's Loft, Broughty Ferry, Dundee. This lovely, characterful upper floor hideaway sits in a little row looking right out at the River Tay in the pretty seaside town of Broughty Ferry. The city of Dundee is only 4 miles away and St Andrews is just a short drive from here. Winkie's Loft, named after a carrier pigeon that flew 120 miles back to her loft in Broughty Ferry to alert rescue crews to the plight of the crew of a wrecked aircraft in WW2, is a charming property. The accommodation has a spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area at second floor level plus a modern shower room. Steep stairs to the third floor lead to two spacious double bedrooms. All rooms benefit from lovely views out over the water and there is free on street parking to the front of the apartment and close by. Open all year.
