New Lanark Mill Hotel

New Lanark is best known as a World Heritage Site and visitor attraction. But it is also a living village, and one which can be experienced and enjoyed by visitors as well as residents. The village has a 60 bed youth hostel, and it also offers the more imposing and spectacular 38 room New Lanark Mill Hotel.

This STB 3 Star hotel occupies the whole of Mill 1, plus the top floor of Mill 2. It also offers eight "Waterhouses": cottages actually built above the tailrace of the mills.

As you look at Mill 1 today it is difficult to believe that until restoration began in 1994 it had been reduced to a mere three storeys in height and left virtually derelict. Images of this transformation can be seen on the regeneration page.

New Lanark Mill Hotel offers comfortable accommodation and an excellent restaurant. There are a range of conference and banqueting facilities available and a bar in which to relax in the evening. The Hotel is also licensed for Civil Weddings.

New Lanark Mill Hotel Rates

Bed and Breakfast: £54.50 per person. Dinner Bed and Breakfast: £64.50 per person per night, based on a minimum stay of two nights.

Prices are based on 2 sharing a twin or double room and are inclusive of VAT. A supplement of £20 per night is charged for single occupancy.

The Waterhouses at New Lanark

Each Waterhouse comes complete with a fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom, and all are close to the facilities on offer in the hotel. Prices for the Waterhouses range from £47.50 to £89.50 per night (minimum three nights) in November and December: and from £499 to £679 per week in the height of the season.
