Before emailing us with a general enquiry via the email
address near the foot of this page, please take a moment to consider whether or not Undiscovered
Scotland is the best place to direct it. We get many enquiries that are not really intended for us,
or which can simply be resolved by using an Internet search engine like
Google; or by using our own Site
Search.
The checklist below should allow you to decide whether you can get what you want more
quickly or more easily elsewhere.
- Requests for brochures or printed information
should be directed to the VisitScotland National Information Centre via

the local tourist information offices via the contact details given on the Area Info Pages
available via many pages on Undiscovered Scotland.
- Transport queries can usually be resolved by
using the public transport journey planner or other information on
Traveline Scotland; or by using the car and public transport planner on the
Government's
Transport
Direct web site; or by means of the links on our
Transport Links
page.
- Detailed local queries are usually best directed
to the locally based or community web sites we link to from the Area Info Pages available via many
pages on Undiscovered Scotland: or by using the Tourist Information or Local Authority contact
information on those pages.
- Visitor Attraction opening hours, prices and other
enquiries (eg weddings and events). Our Feature Pages usually carry opening times and
admission information in their right-hand columns, usually associated with a link to the operator's
web site or other contact information. All enquiries about particular visitor attractions should,
where possible, be directed to the operators of the attraction or venue rather than to Undiscovered
Scotland.
