Colin and Janet Sanders
are a fifth generation Helensburgh family. They've lived away, raised their
children and returned to the town to enjoy their retirement running Arran View
as a friendly B&B. They encourage their guests to share in the facilities
of the house and feel totally free to ask if there is something that they
need.
Colin has a Naval
background and is widely travelled. Work has taken him all over the world,
including as a member of the Royal Yacht when the Queen embarked on a round
world cruise.
He has experience of a
large number of B&Bs when on business in Great Britain, which has given him
some insight into the needs of those on the move. He enjoys meeting
people and swapping yarns. In his spare time you may find him on the golf
course from which the views are magnificent, in contrast to Colin's golf!
Scottish Literature is
dear to Jenny's heart and is reflected in the wide range of prose, poetry and
humour placed in each bedroom and in the sitting room.
Since her retirement
Jenny has been researching her family tree and so could give you some pointers
on where to begin if you wish to investigate your own ancestors.
