The View from Arran View: Including Distant Arran

Janet and Colin Sanders welcome you to their home Arran View. The house overlooks a panorama of river, hills and the Firth of Clyde from its elevated position in the quiet residential area of Upper Helensburgh. Click here for detailed instructions about how to find Arran View.

Janet and Colin aim to turn the clock back, to a time when Bed and Breakfast establishments were comfortable homes where guests received the personal attention of the families who owned them.

Guest accommodation, which includes a separate guest sitting room with tea and coffee making facilities, is spacious and comfortable. The dining room has doors to the patio and garden where guests are welcome to take tea in fine weather. Arran View also has private parking.

The well appointed bedrooms, all with sea views, comprise one double, one king/twin and a single. Each is provided with a TV, video and a wide selection of Scottish reading material. Bathrooms are either en-suite or private.

A full Scottish breakfast is served, including delicious home made preserves, and guests are welcome to bide awhile afterwards, perhaps to browse the maps and tourist materials in the lounge and plan the day's activities.

From Arran View a leisurely day might include a morning spent strolling round the shops in the town followed by an afternoon visit to Hill House, the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Nearby is Loch Lomond and the National Park, plus a wide selection of golf courses.
