Readme File Instructions1. Place the .exe file that came in the .zip to some convenient place on your computer (like your desktop or a temporary folder). 2. Double-click on the puzzle file or icon to run the program. 3. When the program loads, you'll see a miniature of the puzzle picture in the centre of the screen. Double-click on the picture to set up the puzzle. 4. You now see all of the pieces of the puzzle. Your task is to fit them together so that they form the picture. 5. Move the pieces by dragging them with the mouse. Click with your left mouse button on a piece to raise it. You can then drag it around the screen. Once a piece is raised you can rotate it by clicking your right mouse button. You can "poke" piles of pieces to spread them out by pressing the space bar with your cursor over the pile you want to poke. You can highlight groups of pieces in orange by dragging a box around them, then move them as a group. 6. When you have correctly fitted two pieces together you get a visual and audio cue, and thereafter the joined pieces will move as one. 7. Clicking on the "Image" button on the toolbar displays the full image you are trying to recreate in a new window, which can be resized or moved as you wish. 8. Clicking on the "Ghost" button on the toolbar shows a faint image of the complete picture in the background to help you solve the puzzle. It is up to you to decide whether to try to solve the puzzle without assistance; or with the image showing; or with the ghost in the background; or with both. 9. Please let us have feedback about the type of image and number of pieces you prefer. You can use our general feedback form to let us have any comments about the jigsaw puzzles, even if your comments don't exactly match the question asked on that form. This jigsaw puzzle was generated using Jigs@w Puzzle 2 from: www.tibosoftware.com You do not need an installed copy of the program to solve the jigsaw as everything you need comes in the .exe file. However you will only be able to save part-solved jigsaws if you have your own copy of the software. |
