The Rose and Crown is a very traditional looking pub (with an even more traditional pub name!) on the corner of Rose Street and Rose Street South Lane.

Like many of Rose Street's pubs, seating is available on the pavement outside, an arrangement known locally as a "sitooterie", during summer at least. Inside you find a single front room which is home to the bar, the space extending up a couple of steps towards the back of the building.

There is usually a choice of real ales available, and house whiskies are on offer together with a small selection of single malts. They also have a good cocktail menu.
The Rose and Crown is one of the more grown up feeling pubs on Rose Street and attracts a mix of regulars and visitors to the city: though the age profile may dip a little at weekends when it is popular with stag and hen parties.
