The Hogshead is easy to overlook. Access is via a discreetly marked set of stairs leading
down to cellar level from Castle Street at its junction with Rose Street (above), or down another
flight of stairs to the rear entrance from Rose Street.

What you find is a large, comfortable and brightly lit cellar bar in marked contrast to
the anonimity of the entrances.
