Dating back to the 1800s, Nether Barr Steading is a fine stone built courtyard steading that has been sympathetically converted into six self-catering lodges and a small restaurant and bar which offers a friendly welcoming atmosphere and a menu incorporating the best local produce. Each lodge offers spacious and comfortable accommodation which has been individually designed to enhance the natural charm of the building. All have light and airy open plan living areas incorporating lounge, dining area and kitchen, either one, two or three bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and/or bath. The lodges come highly appointed throughout and maid service is available. Outside, the sheltered courtyard is a great place to sit and relax. Pine Tree Cottage, 24 Bladnoch, Bladnoch Village, Near Wigtown, Newton Stewart, DG8 9AB. Less than a mile from Wigtown, Scotland's National Book Town, is the tiny village of Bladnoch. Pine Tree Cottage is a traditional stone built property which faces the river and is just a short walk from Bladnoch Distillery. Newly available, we have plenty of availability this summer. The accommodation comprises a fully equipped modern kitchen, a spacious lounge, two double bedrooms and a family bathroom with both bath and separate shower. Outside is a large, rustic back garden with an umbrella-ed picnic table and chairs. Whether you enjoy browsing through bookshops, walking or cycling in the countryside, fishing, photography, painting, birdwatching, local history or just relaxing you'll find all this and more in the local area.
